Ministerial Forums
2005 - 17th Australia PNG Ministerial Forum
Each year, we hold a roundtable discussion with representatives from the PNG and Australian Governments, and the private sector.
Organised in collaboration with the Australia PNG Business Council (APNGBC) we discuss matters of importance for further developing the partnership between Government and business, thus ensuring Papua New Guinea’s continued economic development.
The Governments are encouraged to work together and with business so identified projects are completed and not put at risk.
The dialogue between all parties has seen a closer relationship develop between business and government.
The next Ministerial Forum will be held at Twin Waters, Sunshine Coast, Queensland on December 16, 2005.

2004 - 16th Australia PNG Ministerial Forum
In December 2004 the BCPNG co-hosted the 16th Australia PNG Ministerial Forum in Lae.
Resulting from this Forum, we expressed our appreciation to the Governments of Papua New Guinea and Australia for their recognition of the role the business sector, through our Councils, plays in the broader bilateral relationship and economic life of Papua New Guinea.
The business communities we represent share, with Government, the desire to fulfil the aspirations of Papua New Guinea through the development of a diverse and healthy economy.
Only through the development of such an economy can individuals make a choice about their own level of participation in it.
