THE 2006 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Annual General Meeting of the Business Council of PNG was held on the 28th of June, and it was announced that Mr. Henry Kila has been elected as the Council's next President. Mr. Kila is the founding member of the Council, which was formed in 1995. He has served on the Executive Committee of the Council in various capacities over the years, including those of Treasurer and Secretary.

The new Business Council Vice President is mining industry executive, Mr. Mel Togolo who is a founding member of the BCPNG and also a Past President.

Mr. Kila paid tribute to the efforts of the outgoing President, Mrs. Winifred Kamit who stepped aside after two years in the role.
