BCPNG LIFTS THE PROFILE OF THE ENFORCEMENT OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The BCPNG was a co-host of recent APEC Regional Seminar on Intellectual Property Rights that was held in Port Moresby, on the 27th to 29th of August, 2007.
We thank Daltron, Ramu Sugar, SP Brewery, Steamships, WR Carpenters and Coca Cola Amatil PNG for their sponsorship and acknowledge the efforts of the trade & Service Committee .
Their efforts have been proof that PPP, public private partnerships, can achieve many great things.
The BCPNG Trade & Service Commission has an informal roundtable committee that co-ordinates dialogue between the agencies involved in the Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights, mainly IRC, ICCC & IPO and acts as a liason between these agencies and our members.
For further information on this sector , please contact the BCPNG office.

INTEREST RATE AND EXCHANGE RATE "SPREADS" IN PNG - A PRELIMINARY STUDY
BCPNG is engaged in a wide range of activities with a focus on objective and independent policy research.
In our role of fostering dialogue and debate between the public sector, the private sector and academia on all aspects that could affect the interests of our Members, the business community and the community at large, the BCPNG engaged the services of an independent consultant to undertake A Preliminary Study on Interest Rate and Exchange Rate "Spreads" in PNG.
The Study is a direct result of a number of requests from BCPNG Members that have expressed their concerns, as this issue has a real business impact.
